Manuscript, in a single hand, of about a hundred cooking recipes for breads, pastries, sandwiches, and meat dishes. The volume includes a recipe for Mother's apple pie, from Boston cooking-School magazine; India curried chicken, from Sir Percy Sanderson; Pineapple sherbet; and Annie's cookies. In a recipe for boiled salad dressing, the author notes, "not so good as mayonaise but 'tasty' & less expensive." Pasted in at the end of the volume are 15 pages of cooking recipes cut out from newspapers.
